Whosoever Shall Be Ashamed

Mark 8:38: Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

Matthew 25:21: His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

Which will thing happen to you?

Will Jesus be ashamed of you or will you hear Him say: Well done? I believe we will all have some of both things happen to us. There have been times when I felt a burning in my bones and I knew I should speak a word about my Lord Jesus but did not. That burning was emotionally painful. There have also been times when I felt a burning in my bones, a desire to speak a word about Him, but knew that He didn*t want me to. At those times the burning was actually a delight. I knew He was pleased with my desire. I rejoice that there have also been many times when I knew He wanted me to speak a word about Him and I did. What joy!!!

With His help, there are less times when I am ashamed as I grow in Him. The better we know Him and love Him the more we will give glory to Him and the less we will be ashamed.

Perhaps a better question is Which thing will happen to you the most?
